Like other reviewers, we were delighted with this classic older motel. Easy access to the 401 and Kingston, operated by a family of Swiss origin that keeps it extremely well and is most helpful and pleasant in helping visitors. Thanks!

This place was amazing. Despite being a smaller older motel, the furnishing were modern and the room very clean. We like staying at motels as rest stops on road trips. They all have their unique character and charm. And the Lord Nelson did not disappoint. Pulling up to it brought back wonderful memories from 40 years ago of the road trips I took with my parents. I even loved that they still use an actual key with the big plastic key chains. Very retro, and classic. The check-in process was super fast and easy. If you are looking for nice place to stay that doesn’t cost a fortune, or involve dragging your family & luggage through a crowded lobby and up an elevator, then this is the place. And it was only a 10 minute drive to downtown Kingston.

We showed up without a reservation early afternoon Friday Sept 13th and we were told that there was just 1 room available for $175. Subsequent look at internet suggests it was more like $110. 1/2 eaten sandwich on balcony from a previous guest (how long) and creamer in fridge for morning coffee had solidified so who knows how long that was there. We would NOT recommend Lord Nelson Inn in Kingston. Disgusted and quite annoyed.
