This is a beautiful inn in a lovely old building that has a lot of character. The staff was wonderful and they accommodated uncommon breakfast requests in a lovely way--and the breakfast was very good. As an added bonus, the mattress on our bed was VERY comfortable.
Looking forward to returning to Kingston, if for no other reason than to stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rosemount. Very pleasant staff and many different things to enjoy at the Inn -- garden, heated porch, comfortable sitting rooms, great breakfast. Located near wonderful restaurants. One of the best places to stay in Kingston.

Everything we enjoy about B&Bs in historic houses was missing at Rosemount. We wonder if the alleged hoteliers, Lucy and Matt, actually exist. The only person we met, apart from other guests, was a lady who looks after the breakfast room. At check-in one picks up one's key in the hallway and upon departure one leaves it in the same place. You never actually meet anybody. Even at breakfast where we had expected a delicious home-cooked meal and the opportunity to chat with others, we had a mediocre snack in a tomb-like atmosphere. In case of need, guests are invited to contact the "Rosemount Team" by text!
We were in room 2 which was tastefully decorated but at about 240 square feet was pokey. There was a pleasant view onto the street through dirty windows. Although the promised air conditioning didn't seem to exist and it was a hot night, the supplied fan coupled with a building that seemed to stay cool meant that we slept well.
Parking is tight but street parking was easily available.
After a two-week road trip, Rosemount was the smallest and worst room we encountered, breakfast was below the standards of everywhere else and the value for money the lowest.
