Hampton Inn And Suites Kitchener

We were happy with our stay recently at the IHG hotel in Kitchener south. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable as well. We had an upgraded king suite which came with a microwave, excellent fridge, a sitting area to eat in the room as well as a comfortable seating area to relax in as well. The air conditioning unit was a bit on the noisy side but it kept the room nice and cool. Breakfast was great in the morning, everything was cooked well and there was a variety of choices for everyone. Their cinnamon rolls were a nice touch, served nice and warm. I thought I had missed them since the tray was empty but a gentleman came in to check on everything and brought out another tray very soon. All the staff we had contact with were friendly and very helpful too.

This was overall a pretty good stay. First the great. All the staff I interacted with were fantastic. Helpful and friendly. Overall rooms were nice and comfortable. This hotel could be great if housekeeping stepped up their game. Our room was only partially made up for some reason for our second day. Not a huge deal but they made one bed and not the other. The body wash in the shower was empty and not filled. Lastly the tub drain was awful and didn’t drain at all which I find to be gross. I’d give it another try if I’m in the area.

We had a very nice stay at the holiday inn. It is a nice clean hotel. The location is great, we were able to walk 5 minutes to a pub for dinner. Our room was a suite with a pull out couch, microwave and fridge, coffee maker. Complimentary two bottles of water which was a nice touch. The breakfast was good! Buffet style. Scrambled eggs, toast, sausage, yogurt, pancake maker, cereal. It was perfect for our group who needed to head out fairly early! Saved us from having to stop at a place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat! The only one negative was that we had a room front facing and we could hear the cars driving by. For some reason, it seemed very loud and it doesn’t help that I am a very light sleeper. Ear plugs would have helped. Overall, a very nice hotel and would stay there again.
