Residence Inn London Downtown

There is an old saying that the best surprise is no surprise. That was definitely endorsed when we were greeted with a $31.64 charge for parking.  It begs the question as to why it is not included in the daily rate where all can see.  Is there a lot of walk in guests and if so what would the percentage be, 1 in 1000, 1 in 100000?  Yes, after scrolling down through volumes of verbiage I did find the hidden fee so you can say “I told you so “ but rest assured I will not be surprised again.  Oh, feel free to give my BonVoy points to someone in your upper executive, maybe the one that thought that hiding that little gem would make the Marriott more attractive for future pedestrians. The Good! 1. Our room had a chair in each bedroom pointed at the bed 2. The staff is amazing my wife accidental booked the wrong dates and they went an above and beyond to make sure we got a room. 3. There is cold infused water in the lobby when you arrive. 4. There are many plugs throughout the room 5. We had a well appointed kitchen 6. The breakfast was nice and the breakfast staff were amazing. 7. Solid coffee selection The Bad! 1. They advertised chocolate covered sour keys but didn’t seem to have any 2. If you need a copy of the elevator inspection you have to go to the managers office All in all a great place to stay. If we are in London again we will definitely stay here!

A pleasant stay in quiet downtown London, we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hallways, common areas and breakfast spaces were. Our room was huge - like a 2 bedroom condo - and had a stocked kitchenette which was nice. The hotel doesn't look great from the street, but is much nicer inside! Great breakfast options with eggs, sausages, quiches, oatmeal and yogurt bar and a pancake conveyor machine the kids loved! We enjoyed walking to dinner nearby and felt very safe on a weekend night. Extremely comfortable, spacious for the price, and with workout room and breakfast included it was almost perfect - (a pool or hot tub would have been great)!
