H & H Restaurant and Resort

A little dated, but clean and well kept, and extremely peaceful! There are a few negatives - the kitchen in the room we stayed in was not well-equipped; a fan in the room would have helped - I know cottages aren't normally air conditioned but this was a motel room and although we were on the lake, there was absolutely no breeze at all. Obviously no one's fault (lol) but it was sweltering even at night so kind of hard to get to sleep; and the web site should be updated to advise that the restaurant is no more. We found out when we called but we had already booked the room and paid the deposit before we found out. Not insurmountable issues, though. Overall, the place was nice and the people are even more so. Diane and Andy are great hosts. Now that we have a better idea as to how to prepare for our stay, we would return. And we will recommend the place to friends.

We stayed end of July and into August 5th, 2016... then again last week July 2017. into August. It is close to so many things to do. We went to many small towns all unique.( enjoyed the farmer's markets. and sightseeing options Spend a day In Parry Sound wow..... Very quiet and beautiful area. I have gone for two years now and will go again next summer. The first year my husband and I went stayed at the Motel... We were amazed by the beauty of this location and all the kitchen things provided. ( even towels/ bedding) . Family owned and have for over 25 years. Even their boys help with the running resort. Our 2nd trip some family members joined us we rented one of their three cottages. has a fire pit and a built-in stone grill bbq outdoors for cottage users... My brother and his daughter had a great time. We rented one of their boats and went out fishing. So grab your food and clothes and to stay. See you Any...Diane...Leo and kids next year.Laura and sam

What a beautiful place to drive to at this time of year. It is about a 20 minute drive off the 400 hwy but well worth it. We had a wonderful little room that looked out over the water. The space was roomy and comfortable, the bed was adequate: not the most comfortable but sure not the worst. They need to invest in some new pillows, our were about 2 inches thick if that!!!. It was quiet and peaceful and I would have loved to stay another day. There are a couple of drawbacks.... the night was hot and our refrigerator was turned off when we got there and they dont have ice machines which unfortunately was not helpful and the water in the taps smelled like sewage.
