A Seaton Dream B&B

This property is located quite a way back from the main centre of Toronto and is therefore quite a long commute into the centre of Toronto. We walked at least 3/4 of a mile and then also used a Tram to get into the centre of Toronto although with better knowledge of the Bus & Tram routes i am sure it would have been easier. The property is very nice and well decorated throughout. And the owners are extremly helpful and go out of their way to assist in any way they can. We were located in the Basement Room (Described as th Retreat Room) which is down a flight of stairs.. Although very nice there is very little Light down there + It was extremely noisey early morning when others are walking across the floors above and people are talking quite loudly above you. This property is located in an area called Cabbagetown where there are only a few Bars but a Wide Range of Restaurants. The local area now seems to be quite run down with many homless people begging on the streets and several properties in a poor state of repair with a lot of building works, road works and demolition works currently in progress. My Rating is For The Poor Location Due to aforementioned issues.

A Seaton Dream located on a well cared for street in Old Cabbagetown contributed to a very enjoyable four nights in Toronto. Our host, Jamie, proved to be very knowlegeable and helpful regarding the city and the neighbourhood. Jamie is a very talented cook , so each morning we were greeted with a tasty breakfast creation presented in a lovely dining room within the ambience of the creatively restored main floor living space. It was a highlight to have Jamie sit with us and contribute to the conversation. We stayed in the Retreat Room, a quiet, comfy, very functional super clean space within the home.

By far the best B&B we have ever encountered. Jamie and Alan were so personable and gracious in welcoming us into their home, neighborhood and city . They even provided curbside service! The neighborhood was safe and felt like home. The healthy and tasty breakfast meals were tailored to our dietary needs and much appreciated! The home was immaculate and the beds were a sleeper's dream! We won't hesitate to recommend A Seaton Dream to others. It was truly a dream stay that we won't soon forget!
