Mississauga Gate Inn

It was our best choice to select this hotel for 2 families stay in Mississauga. Great stay, the staff was very helpful. There's absolutely nothing to complain about it. Any short stay visits are always remarkable and well worth it. The rooms are very clean with a microwave and fridge. The beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is waiting for you with plenty of towels, soap and everything you need. Highly recommended.

We were desperate, unable to find a room in the city when we landed around midnight. We found this place had three rooms left, which we were told were smoking rooms. We took a room for the night. We entered the room and it smelt like stale smoke, but whatever we were told it was a smoking room. I wish we wouldn’t have turned on the lights because this place was so gross! There were stains in the sofa, there was an empty Kleenex box on the coffee table and the desk chair was soiled and had cigarette burns in it. The carpet appeared soiled and it was just run down and simply disgusting! The bed was actually very comfortable, I will give them that. We couldn’t wait to get out of this place and checked out at 8:00 am in the morning. Avoid this place!

Stayed there over the weekend and ended up leaving in the middle of the night. Couldn’t stop itching. The room had’t been cleaned. When we approached the front desk he informed us that he couldn’t give us a refund as he wasn’t management. We then followed up on Monday with the owner and he started off good but quickly changed his tune. He was apologetic at first and even offered us a refund. When we got in deeper about the room (burn marks and stains on the bed, toiletries half used, fridge was covered in dirty streaks, stains on the walls in the shower, carpet was dirty, walls in the bathroom had god knows what all over them) he started to retract. We told him that we would be calling the health and safety and that his conversation was being recorded and then he refused to give us our money back which was a total of 125.00. We did in fact call the health board and also contacted the police. There was so much prositution and drug trafficking going on there. The police are aware of this. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM STAYING HERE!!!!!
