Holiday Inn Express Newmarket

This hotel is close to plaza's with lots of food and shopping options. The moment I walked into the lobby, I was greeted with 2 big smiles, check-in was smooth and quick. The outside and interior corridors and lobby are immaculate. This is my 2nd of 5 days here and so far I have no complaints at all. The breakfast was delicious this morning with everything from cold cereals, oatmeal, yogurts, fruit, hot items this morning were waffle maker, egg & cheese omelette, sausage links, bacon, and baked beans. All kinds of breads and baked goods. Condiments including pb & j, cream cheese, butter, and toppings you can put on your oatmeal and yogurts. Full juice dispenser including orange, cranberry, apple (touchless which I love). They have a large glass canister of fruit infused water in the lobby, such a nice touch! The fitness center... WOW!!! No weight machines BUT they have state of the art cardio machines including a recumbent bike, treadmills, a spinning bike, and stair masters. They have a boxing bag, exercise balls, floor mats, a bunch of hand weights and bench. Clean, comfortable temperate and plenty of towels. There's even a scale to weigh yourself and also an automatic water dispenser. I am very impressed with their fitness center. My room is very spacious with a microwave, keurig coffee maker with all the condiments and k-cups, nice size mini fridge. The lighting is great, carpets seem new and the BED...OMG... SO comfortable!! I never want to leave. There's a nice size sitting are with a beautiful tan leather sofa and flat screen tv. I work remotely so the desk area is very spacious for me to lay out all my things. There's even a nice half dresser to lay your opened suitcase on. The bathroom is very spacious too - clean, modern and good water pressure. No bathtub but it is a walk-in shower with a glass sliding door. I requested a high floor away from the elevator (i'm a sound sleeper) and got what I requested. I was having an issue with one of the pieces of exercise equipment - I called the front desk from the house phone and the manager came right to me within 1 minute. I went to the front desk today to request some information for my room invoice and I was assisted right away. All in all, I have zero complaints. I come to the area at least once a month and look forward to making this hotel my home away from home.

The hotel is located in nice and convenient location near two plazas with supermarket and food. The hotel management and house keeping doesn't exist at all. The Indian resptionists, manager and house keeping are worst I have ever seen in my 40 years traveling. The rooms are not cleaned, bed sheets were not changed over 3 weeks we had to stay there, tables not cleaned, beds not cleaned. One night we came back and noticed the cleaner had slept on our bed and left her cleaning stuff when in rush to leave. We complained and they said after 5pm they have no staff. Don't stay here, absolute mess and garbage and waste on money. Breakfast is garbage too. Will never go back there. Pls don't go unless the management is changed.

Was there for a wedding .came back on the shuttle only to find the elevators were not working..We were on 4th floor. Two people in our party had recent knee replacements, couldn't do the stairs., but had no other choice to get to our rooms...next morning elevators still out of order..My husband had to make 2 trips to bring our belongings down because I wasn't able to help ( I was one with replacement). This issue should have been resolved...no one at the front desk could have cared aless...no discount for inconvenience, gave us a card to call Mohan. Nothing resolved... breakfast area is too cramped..won't be visiting this hotel again ..
