While booking a hotel in Niagra I ended up booking this hotel on accident- I actually thought I was booking at another near by property. THis was however a very very happy accident. I wanted a high up experience (Never stayed on a floor above 8) and I wanted a commanding view of the falls. This had it! To top it off this hotel appears like it literally just opened after a fresh remodel and I was one of the first in the door. Everything was so clean and fresh looking. The staff were literally the best, nicest, most helpful I have ever encountered. Right down to the Valet staff- it was worth the $100 for Valet! I know it sounds rather vague, but the staff here are jsut on another level. My room was impecably clean, like showroom brand new clean. I have stayed at some better and high end hotels (Venitian in Vegas, Resident in Edinbrugh Scotland) and this hotel ranks right up there with them. While this hotel was more expensive than I wanted to pay initially, the quality of the night overall was fantastic (all in cost around $900 USD include Valet for two, king room with living area on 31st floor).

The ‘shuttles’ for guests are old unsafe vans that are dirty and disgusting inside and out. I addressed this to the valet who was driving and they informed me that they are not allowed to clean the vans inside or outside by management since the winter. There are stains and smells that no one should ever experience. Mold growing in van and my luggage was put in the back where you could see red sauce everywhere. Unacceptable to have a human being sitting in those vans for hours on end. Shouldn’t be acceptable for minutes. And this is for guests of a Hyatt????It’s disgusting. Shame on management for allowing this. I asked for the managers names. Gabrielle and Angelo do you ride in those vans? If not go drive in them now.

We booked a room at the Wyndham Grand Fallsview but that hotel was being used to house evacuees from the wildfires. They transferred our reservation to the Hyatt without giving us advance notice. The front desk associate was had NO personality and was very rude. We went to the assigned room and found that it was cramped, had a musty smell and there was a dirty towel in the bathroom. We immediately went back down and checked back out and went to the Hilton where we received outstanding service. I gave one star because it's not possible to give zero stars. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
