Historic Lyons House

Lyons House is just an outstanding place in Nigeria On The Lake. Rooms are great, location is wonderful just a skip to shopping and dining. Howard is great host and is very knowledgeable of the area. Breakfast is over the top good and the delight of every morning. You cannot go wrong spending sometime at Lyons House.

Beautiful historic home 2 blocks from downtown NOTL. Howard welcomed us with open arms and showed us around their beautiful home. Our room was tastefully decorated and bed was super comfy with high end lines. Bathroom small bit spacious enough with hairdryer and towels. Room also had 2 sitting chairs l,fireplace and large screen tv with Fireatick. So we could watch whatever we wanted. Also a small bar fridge with a few water bottles provided and a Kori type coffee maker. Howard offered us cream or milk if we needed. Breakfast both morning was amazing and super delicious. His wife Yolanta is a star at the ricotta and lemon pancakes. Fresh fruit and yogurt both morning with coffee and juice. They were careful about allergies and any dietary restrictions. We also enjoy and evening in the backyard with a bottle of wine we had purchased at one of the local wineries. Yolanta also offered her knowledge of trails to walk and wineries in the area. The home is one of the oldest homes in the area and Howard had mentioned that they are now in their 25th year as B&B Owners. Cups to them. The home is beautiful and offers a wonderful and relaxing staff. The cat is large and don’t even bother us. Would highly recommend.

This historic residence was absolutely lovely…just as lovely as the hosts. Rooms are cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The whole ambience is quiet, peaceful elegance. As this was a special anniversary celebration for us, the host Howard and his wife made it a special one. Thanks so much…we miss your delicious breakfasts already! P.S….just leave your car parked in the drive. You can easily walk from this home to the centre of the town within minutes.
