We arrived 3:30 PM and the tempura in the room was 13 degrees. Everything was ice cold, the carpet, the bed everything in the room.
We turned the thermostat up to 30 degrees and went out to supper.
At 9:00 pm the tempura was 20 degree’s and everything felt chilled. It was not until the middle of the night that things warmed up to 24 degras. There is no plug in for our car?? None of this was mentioned when we booked our room!
My last year of school, 50 years ago, I worked for the Caswell Resort in Sundridge. In winter months we went to each room guests would be arriving in early in the afternoon and made sure the heat was working and set to 24 degree’s. We ran the hot water taps so guests would have warm water. That’s why it’s called the hospitality industry.

This hotel is what you would
expect for a Comfort Inn in North Bay. It wasn’t built recently and does show its age but isn’t run down or anything. We were in 228 and room has the basics, including a microwave and fridge (which was large enough and super cold). There is a window that opens and we kept it open a little for room freshness.
Bed is comfortable and lots of pillows. Bathroom is small but you’ll be able to do all your business in it. Shower had some power and water was quick to get hot. Lots of towels.
Wifi was excellent (it impressed a teenage boy so that’s a big plus) and although the tv is big and has many channels, the guide is non-existent so you just have to channel surf.
The TV does have some apps (Netflix and Disney and Crave) and you can Chromecast. That was a nice feature and SO SIMPLE to figure out which is always nice with a hotel tv.
Breakfast is a small buffet with sausage, scrambled and an amazingly delicious waffle maker. There is cereal and toasting options too.
We were there as part of a hockey tournament and there is nothing in North Bay that you can’t get to in less than 5 minutes from the hotel.
It’s not the Ritz Carleton but it’s comfortable and has decent food waiting for you when you wake up. I would recommend it to someone to stay here for a night or 2 for an affordable place to sleep.

Stopped in after a long days drive. Everything was just okay, was clean enough, was comfortable enough. Was handy having both an indoor and outdoor entrance. Hotel was noisy when we were there. Location is good. Breakfast was minimal.
