BEST WESTERN PLUS ORANGEVILLE INN & SUITES

The hotel’s location is convenient, situated just off the main road into Orangeville. From the outside, the property appears well maintained, with the stucco currently being repaired. The hotel also shares a parking lot with Boston Pizza, which is convenient if you are looking for a quick meal. Unfortunately, the condition of the room was disappointing. The rooms appear dated, with peeling wallpaper and numerous visible marks on the walls. The bathroom shower was particularly problematic, as it leaked significant amounts of water onto the floor. We had to place several towels on the floor to prevent the water from spreading and potentially causing damage. Overall, the room did not feel particularly clean or well maintained. It felt dusty, and the visible dirt and marks throughout the room made it difficult to feel comfortable and relaxed during our stay. The hotel itself was relatively quiet, and we experienced no issues with noise or disruptive behaviour from other guests. However, the condition of the recreational facilities was a major concern. The hot tub was extremely dirty and covered in what appeared to be a brown film (see photos). I had been looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub, but its condition made me uncomfortable using it due to concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. The pool was cleaner, although the bottom was peeling and did not look particularly inviting. For approximately $275 per night, and a total two-night stay, I found the overall experience very disappointing. The hotel was average at best and did not provide the level of cleanliness or upkeep I would expect at this price point. On a positive note, the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming both at check-in and when we had to request additional toilet paper, as there was none available in the room upon arrival.

Reception staff very good, generally the hotel was clean and nice, the only couple of things that let it down was breakfast was served on paper plates and plastic knives and forks , we felt like we were at a kids party, I don’t know what the reasons for this was as we had it for both days , not the sort of standard you would expect from a Best Western Hotel ! They have let the side down here, as a member of BW I expect better.. tables in dining legs had bits of tissue put underneath them to stop them rocking because of uneven floor, just a few plastic feet would sort it out. A bit disappointing that this things are not picked up by the general manager. Poor choice for Vegans , no margarine.

Older hotel that’s been let go. Water is yellow/brown and smells like waste water. Lots of debris in water maybe from industry in the area and/or farms. Didn’t get a photo of the floes before killing them but did have time to capture what appeared to be mucus on the walls before leaving.
