HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS HOTEL & SUITES OTTAWA AIRPORT

We recently stayed for 2 weeks at the Holiday Inn Express Ottawa Airport. We found it to be clean, quiet, comfortable and met all of our needs. Lisa, at the breakfast room, was especially friendly and deserves recognition for her devotion to ensuring a positive guest experience each morning. I might say, that other than Lisa, we didn't find the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. Few smiles and greetings when passing each other in the hall. Despite that, we will definitely plan to stay at this hotel next time we are in Ottawa.

I made a reservation at the Holiday. inn Express Ottawa Airport last night while I was waiting at YYZ due to flight delays. FIight was delayed over 6 hours so got to the hotel about 3am. Unfortunately the hotel was actually sold out and the reservation system had made my reservation for tonight! The night auditor ( not sure of spelling) Haman?, was so helpful and polite. While I was searching for my reservation number I placed my wallet on the countertop. Haman directed us to a hotel that had rooms. Off we went in the freezing temperatures, in the middle of the night ,after travelling on three flights for more than 24 hours. After checking out another hotel, I realized I had lost my wallet with all my IDs, drivers licence, Health card etc, etc. in a panic I drove back to Holiday Inn Express, hoping that was where I had left it. I couldn’t believe it, a snow covered Haman had been out looking for me when he saw the wallet after I left! What a guy!! He didn’t have to do that but he realized what a catastrophe it was for me. THIS MAN DESERVES A MEDAL! I was a GM at an IHG hotel for 25 years and I can tell you, employees like that are your most valuable asset. I understand that Sonny Sohal owns this hotel so I hope the hotel GM will make sure Mr. Sohal gets a copy of this reviews!! THANK YOU HAMAN and my apologies if I didn’t get your name correct.

Very clean and comfortable Great breakfast every morning Everyone was friendly and accommodating Airport shuttle Near good restaurants and easy uber into the downtown area
