Econo Lodge Inn & Suites

As a single woman in her mid 60s travelling across Canada I have a honest opinion on this hotel. Just don’t stay at it. This was the first place where I have actually felt uncomfortable, from a up and down stare from the person working there, to be given a key that didn’t work, to be told I could use a door that was obviously blocked off and for some time I will add by the looks of it. Then the power went off. The doors are metal to the room I was given, you could hear the doors slam rooms on either side of me when the occupants went for a smoke. I’m not one to complain but I felt threatened and then my power went out in half the room which included the bathroom so then I had to go to the front desk where I was stared at again and made to feel very uncomfortable. That night I slept with a chair propped under the door handle. This was the only place I felt a need to do so in all 9 hotels/motels I stayed at on my travels. The town of Pembroke is beautiful and worth a visit specially if you like architecture.

charged me twice on my visa for my room for one night and would not give me a refund. Totally refused to help me. Wont get a chance to screw me the second time. will never recommend this place to anyone

Last stop on the way back from Sturgis before our return to Quebec. Easy to find, motel improving, good king bed, good breakfast, we are hitting the road again for Quebec City via the 41.
