Comfort Inn Pickering

We arrived in the evening. We checked in to our first room. The carpet was wet, and there was such a horrible smell (smelled like mildew) we had to call front desk. They switched us to a second room. Still gross, but okay, we planned to stay, until a large bug (not a spider) ran across the bathroom floor. That was it, we were out. I have to say the lady at the front desk was absolutely lovely. Thank you to her for being so kind. But steer clear of this hotel, it was so gross, dirty, and not like the photos. We moved hotels at 10pm. I have never done that in my life. If that tells you how bad it was....

Quite unaccommodating. Just needed to change one of our date on a several days booking. Truly disappointing. On top of that, dirty shower and noisy road traffic.

We stayed for an overnight recently and it was basic, but clean and comfortable, although we had to settle for a queen size bed. It's dog friendly which was appreciated and was quite busy but we got a good night's sleep after 10:30pm. Breakfast was basic but included some hot options - again busy, but we took our food back to our room. There are also lots of eating places in the vicinity - we liked a pub we found nearby. Overall, works for an overnight while in transit.
