This place is not 5 star hotel.. but it is actually kinda neat.. I was treated well and had no issues with my room. It is located near an amazing park and beach, also close to the Bluewater Bridge and Casino!! It is true, you may meet some “interesting” people around the place and also I noticed some of the tenants were possibly trades people working in the area. I definitely locked my door at night and when i left same as I would do anywhere!! Apparently this place has become a part of local history.. built in the 1960’s and yes!! the exterior and interior decor shows it still!!!! It is a reasonable price and I would definitely go back!!!!

This motel is not what it’s advertised as. It’s used primarily as local emergency temporary housing for numerous reasons. As a local I’ve never actually stayed here but do know that it’s incredibly run down, every aspect imaginable has major major issues and is not safe in any and all aspects. There are many great hotels and motels to stay in or vacation while visiting Sarnia and surrounding areas BUT this is NOT one of the them.

We stayed at this motel for 3 days and it was terrible. The room was not cleaned once in those 3 days and we had to BEG and wait forever for towels. At one point we used a sheet after waiting THREE HOURS FOR TOWELS and were threatened with a fine and charged the full security deposit. The blankets smelled ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING (CLEARLY NOT WASHED) and the "white" sheets were yellow. The cleaner, who came into our room but DID NOT EVEN BOTHER TO CLEAN THE ROOM, instead all he did is kept our food/pop and clothing (everything we brought, including dirty, used toothbrushes) and told me a sob story about how it was for his children and offered to give me 'tons' of women's clothing for free. When I explained that I wanted the pizza back and that the pop had already been open and drank from, he told me that he would replace everything and even offered me new clothing (I never received any of this back, even after speaking to the "owner"/"manager"). I could hear the janitor upstairs just screaming, cursing, and swearing at his kids and wife/girlfriend (over and over and over calling her derogatory names threatening her with violence). He has keys to every room, which terrified me as you could tell plain as day that he was a junkie even though the concierge accused US of being junkies (we do NOT look nor act like junkies). We were kept up all night with constant screams of the janitors wife being hurt and/or being called all sorts of names in front of their young children. When I asked the cleaner (Chris William) for my property and food/drinks back he promised he would go get them right away, but not before trying to make me feel guilty for taking away his kids' (only food/drinks). I told him I had cold sores and yet still, he allowed them the pop. He DID return HALF THE PIZZA after I spoke to the owner (who told me it was up to 'Chris' got to decide whether to return my property, which is when I was given half the pizza (the pepperoni was picked off, so obviously the food was touched by children. I NEVER received EITHER of the two pops nor the chocolate milk back, and a lot of clothing of both mine and my boyfriend's was missing. I went back and told the owner I wanted the police called at which point he kept my money, buddy kept all my property, I was out the deposit, and had to even pay a fine for using a sheet for a towel because they would not give us more for a 3 day-stay. I tried returning once more almost a year later in hopes it was a one-off, but the same concierge told me that they didn't have any confirmation that I booked a room, despite me supplying the confirmation number, PIN AND SCREEN SHOT from my bank saying when I paid and what I paid to them for the room. He went back to talk to the "owner" (his name tag called HIMSELF the owner) and after 45 mins came back to say that the payment was declined. I again showed the proof, so he disappeared again for another half hour and came back and said that it was processed too late in the day, so we again showed the proof with confirmation and asked why I was charged then if that were the case. FINALLY, after a THIRD TIME of "speaking to the owner" *cough cough* he told me I would be refunded but must do so through booking.com (he did not have a number to supply me with or any email/mailing address to write to, so I had to do the research myself) and FINALLY ADMITTED that it was NOT because of a "late payment", it was due to the dispute with the janitor and using the dirty sheet ro dry (even though we had asked for fresh towels three times in the three hours we waited)
