FAULD S MOTEL SARNIA

I booked using Hotels . Com on the day of my arrival but was still driving across Michigan. It was well after 11 pm when I arrived but I received a warm welcome. I initially booked a smoking room since it was the cheapest available, however, I was offered the non-smoking room at check-in at no additional cost. Parking was very convenient right next to the room. Pretty quiet area as it’s not near the busy commercial areas and the motel sits far enough back from the main road. The building itself is aging, but has plenty of character. I would gladly stay here again in any future travel through the area and highly recommend it to anyone else.

Terrible place, charged $10.00 extra for a non smoking room, one window fell out in my hands, one wouldn't open, two had to be held open with wooden coat hangers. Hair in tub and on toilet. Bugs both dead and alive in the tub. Had to move the night stand to plug in lights, the carpet underneath was filthy. Garbage behind the fridge. TV inputs had to be changed each time it was turned on. The worst wall and ceiling repairs anywhere, chunks of wall falling off around the door. The room was so tired and past its service life it hard to tell if it's anywhere near clean The owners must be paying for reviews

We were very happy with our stay at Fauld's Motel. It is close to the border, and across from an Esso station. The room is clean and fresh. The bed is very comfortable and the sheets area crisp. Check-in was smooth and the clerk suggested places where we could eat. We chose Tandoori Chaska less than 2 km away. The Indian food there is excellent. Note that when taking a shower the soap does not lather very well because the water is hard. Nonetheless, we are happy to recommend and would return in the future.
