We had a pleasant one night stay here. No complaints Clean room, comfortable bed ,free parking ,pleasant staff. But what made me write this review was the lovely woman Lilliana working in the breakfast room .The food was great, much better than included breakfasts I have had before. She was great and was so pleasant.Thank you.

We stayed here with a large group for an event. We were apprehensive of booking because there weren’t many reviews and as experienced travellers….we don’t like the unexpected but it was only 3 nights. First off the taxi driver we had from the train station questioned where we were staying and as we got closer we did too. But I have to say the hotel is NOT located in a very nice area. Lots of unhoused, boarded up storefronts and unkempt properties. BUT we were very happy with our stay. The staff here are the friendliest we’ve encountered for a while. They tried very hard to make our large group feel at home. Our room, while very basic, was clean and comfortable. The AC could have been quieter but it did the job in 40c temperatures. There was a good morning buffet with “get the day started” food. The room did get crowded because we were a large group but tables were cleaned quickly and the girls were very nice about it. Now about the area…we did walk to the riverfront, casino, restaurants and museum and we were never harassed by the unhoused people, even after dark. The hotel is not modern but is very well maintained, clean and staffed. And for the price it was great!

Cleanliness: the place seems to be well kept. Carpet was clean and looked like it may have been recently changed. Linens and bathroom also looked clean. Friendliness: staff are friendly and courteous. Especially at breakfast where all the ladies in the kitchen would smile and laugh with guests. Price: price was good - about $140/night. Included free wifi, parking and hot breakfast (unlimited bacon, sausage, hard boiled and scrambled eggs, fruit yogurt, fresh waffles, bagels, muffins, toast, oatmeal, cereal, juices, tea, coffee… just help yourself and go!) Noise: this was a big factor in my rating. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything going on around you - above, below, from the rooms on each side, across the hall… conversations, the shower, the heating/cooling system… everything. Made it difficult to get a good night sleep. Comfort: this was another big factor. The bed felt like an over sized camp bed. If you’re looking for lumbar support this is not the place. Location: the location is convenient if you need to be downtown. Steps from the Windsor-Detroit tunnel. Lots of parking. Lots of restaurants nearby, banks, pharmacies, duty free store, etc. About 8-10 min drive to University of Windsor, Devonshire Mall, grocery stores and big box stores. No such thing as rush hour in downtown - for the few days I was here, there was very little traffic and so getting around was easy. The following is not the fault of the hotel, but important to add. Much of downtown Windsor does have a ‘sketchy/ghetto’ vibe - lots of people looking for scraps of food in garbage cans, panhandlers, empty stores, people loitering in parking lots…
