Suites of Euston

Absolutely horrible musty old place. The main door to the hotel is warped and cannot be locked to the outside and with a blinking neon sign that says “Open” very sketchy area. On the second last night of our stay the police were right outside our window at 2am dragging a handcuffed young man out of the building - the last night there were 4 young seemingly homeless young women stumbling in and out of the foyer then sitting on the front stoop outside our main floor window this was at 330am - called the owner later on that day and he said the disturbance was probably a pizza delivery!! Honestly!! The shower curtain in the dingy gross bathroom was moldy and the sink kept coming loose from the foundation - thank goodness we have a lot of family in Charlottetown and could use their shower - only stayed at the hotel to sleep and that didn’t go well. Already paid in full and let stuck with our poor decision to stay there. The only saving grace was the close proximity to the downtown core. The pictures on the website are very misleading. Also, ceiling is in dire need of repair just like the rest of the hotel and grounds.

I recently stayed a Suites of Euston for a week. After reading some of the reviews here I was a bit nervous, but Charlottetown was booked solid and my travel dates weren't flexible, so we took our chances. Everything turned out fine. First - call directly to book! There are some issues with the website, so I spoke to Todd directly. He was helpful and got everything sorted out for us. Our room was nice - clean, with everything we needed. The kitchenette had a mini fridge, microwave, sink, dishes, and keurig coffee pot (most important!). The building is definitely an older building that was renovated into a boutique hotel. It has character. If you are looking for the standard hotel experience, this may not be the place for you. But if you can appreciate a few quirks (original floorboards that shift a bit, narrow hallway, steep stairs) the place is quite charming. There's onsite parking, and it's a short walk to everything you need - groceries, liquor store, downtown Charlottetown/ Waterfront area, Confederation Centre for the Arts if you're planning a theatre visit. We had no problems, and would have no issues staying there again.

My stay at Suites of Euston in PEI was fantastic for a friend trip! It's perfectly located around all the restaurants and nightlife. The rooms were spacious, cozy, and really comfortable. It felt like a true home away from home. Definitely a top choice for a relaxing visit to the island!
