Chute Des Pres Motel

Day 3 of biking trip along Route des Bluets. Great location, on river directly off bike path. On arrival, they seemed understaffed and overwhelmed (? COVID-19 issues) and not helped by many people arriving at same time, tired and in need of a shower! Dedicated room for safe bike storage. Corridors were long, so bring a bag with wheels. Rooms were spacious, bright and well equipped. Mini fridge available. Dinner was surprisingly good, much better than anticipated for a motel - fresh ingredients, well presented and perfectly cooked. Decent wine/beer selection Good breakfast

We stop here while riding our bikes across lac St-Jean. They have amenities to store and wash bikes and direct your luggage to your room. Rooms are a little bit outdated but considering the prices it is fair to expect this level of quality.

I was actually surprised upon arrival to see how much older it looked in person compared to what I saw on the website. It has a 60s-70s feel to it. I was not impressed by the look of the place. The jet bath may not look sexy either but oh man, I loved it. The hotel is placed right by very impressive sights of the river. A little beach nearby. Comfortable bed. Clean enough, friendly staff (especially that young man in the evening). 4 minutes away from the small downtown.
