Motel Adam

We spent 3 nights and everything was great. The location is near many restaurants, shopping centers and even major places to visit. Our room was big enough with 2 double beds as we are friends travelling together. Smelled clean as soon as we walked in. Since we do not change our towels or bed sheets each day at home we kept the same for our stay however the maids were always nearby if we needed to get rid of our garbage. Breakfast for me was perfect as I only have a fruit juice, yogourt, muffin and coffee (bonus as there is a fancy coffees machine) at home so had the same here. People at the front desk were very nice and cordial every time we walked in the reception area. I was sick before I left home so didn't try the pool but many people seemed to enjoy it a lot. For people expecting the same service as Chateau Laurier, next time just go there and pay for one night the price we paid for 3 nights and you can change your towels as often as your entitled heart desire!!! As for me it doesnt make any difference where I sleep as long as its comfortable and clean which Motel Adam has all of that.

We spent 3 nights here and had a wonderful experience. The location is super convenient within 10 minutes of many local museums and shopping spots. Our room was spacious, clean, and smelled fresh right when we walked in. Despite the motel being very busy while we were there, it was remarkably quiet and peaceful. We chose to skip daily maid service since we didn't need it, but the housekeeping staff was always nearby and ready to help if we needed anything. The continental breakfast was excellent with a great selection of breads and cereals, and the breakfast area was kept remarkably clean and quickly replenished. The specialized coffee machine was a huge plus (the café mocha was delicious!). Front desk staff were always pleasant, greeting us with a warm smile and a good sense of humor every time we walked through the lobby. While we didn't get a chance to try the pool, it looked clean and well-maintained. We would definitely stay here again!

I really do not understand how this hotel has so many unbelievably fantastic reviews. So, I'm going to tell you some of its truths. I have been saving up my AirMiles forever and am so angry that all those years of saving went toward this stay. The hotel tries to pass itself off as a multi-story, luxury hotel. It is not. You know those roadside, one level courts that are like The Bates Motel? The kind that are usually cheaper than others. It's like that. Now, parts of it are well maintained. They lobby is decorated a little upscale with a nice chandelier. They should've put that $ into the rooms. There is patio off the lobby, but I didn't see a bar or restaurant. The pool is on one side of the hotel. They have two sides of single level rooms and only one has good access to the outdoor pool. My room was on the other side at the back, which means I would have to walk past all the other rooms in a swimsuit and around to the other side to swim. When I got there it was raining and they had it closed, but I did notice it was full of leaves. She said it was closed for weather, but I had to wonder how long it had been since it was open with all the debris in the water. Each room does have a couple of chairs outside and there are nice flower planters at each room separation. There was a problem with this, however. I actually met a girl who was staying there during a boat cruise I took and she had the same opinion about the place as I did, which included sitting outside at night. She said it seemed like people lived there, and that was the impression I got also. There was major bridge/road construction going on up the road and it appeared the construction crew was staying there. I went outside4 one night with a cocktail to sit and every male eye seemed fixed on my position. I felt so uncomfortable I went back in my room and was regretting announcing I was staying alone by sitting out like that. She said exactly the same. Felt this way even though it was well lit. The carpet in my room was gross. You can see in the pictures, it was beat to death, a weird green dirty and pulling up in places. The whole decor scheme reminded me of the 70s when I was little. The colours were green, brown and this weird burgundy. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable and there were only two of them. The bed was hard and hurt my back. The reading light beside the bed was unusable because it started blinking erratically once turned on. The television channels were horrible. Almost everything in French. You have to know some of your visitors don't speak French. Limited too. The think that pissed me off the most was that the room advertisement said my room had its own hot tub. It was not a hot tub, was a jetted tub. The water ran from the tap in a pencil stream. It took an hour to get it at any level and of any temperature that was relaxing and worth it. So I only used it twice in five nights. There were bathrobes in the room, which was nice and the little office was separate from the bedroom. The room was very clean. There was a refrigerator and coffee maker. But the sleep was not comfortable and very early in the morning it was so loud. My room was at the back and the supply room must have been right there, so the level of noise was rattling. And the deposit. $200??? I stayed at Chateau Cartier right before which was stunning by comparison (stunning even without comparison) and they didn't even charge a deposit. Holding up that much on people for a motel that tries to seem like something it's not. It was an okay stay, but for the $ not close to worth it and for the above reason, I won't ever be returning.
