Travelodge Ottawa East

The room met our expectations and appears to have been recently renovated. It looks very modern and cozy, and the amenities were ideal. The bed and linens were comfortable and of good quality, making for a pleasant stay. Parking was ample and convenient. Reception during both check‑in and check‑out was very nice, friendly and cordial. Overall, we would choose this property again. That said, a few details need attention to better reflect the brand and overall hotel experience. Our ironing board had dried stains, which wasn’t a major issue but is something that should not be expected. There was also a noticeable odour in the elevator, and on the first day the 3rd floor felt quite stuffy, suggesting limited airflow or ventilation. By the second day, however, the 3rd floor felt much fresher and more comfortable.

Atrocious smell throughout the building, wish we had booked elsewhere for our tournament weekend. Semi permanent guests seem to be cooking all sorts of meals without proper ventilation.

Good economy hotel. The place is neat. Our room was clean. The supposedly heated pool is cold, so, don't go for the pool, good for children only who soak in any temperature. We stayed two nights. Usefull fridge and microwave in every room as advertised. Easy access to downtown Ottawa by nearby highway. UPDATE 6 YEARS LATER: We returned to the same hotel. The hotel has been renovated since our first stay and the pool temperature has been increased to 84° that makes it a better hotel to stay.
