Hotel-Motel Le Boise du lac

A catastrophic hotel, we booked the day before for two rooms (two families with 3 children aged 4, 6, and 8). Upon arriving on site, we learn that the rooms are no longer available and that they were given to someone else. The receptionist (surely the owner) tells me that she tried to call me to warn me, but not with a Canadian number, a number received from Poland and Hungary. So here we are without accommodation with children! Never book directly, this hotel is a disgrace!!

Upon arriving at the premises, we did not stay long; the room was very noisy because it was on the parking lot side and close to the road, no air conditioning, just a ventilation system at the window, no privacy, no shutters, only a curtain to block the view at the window, a makeshift connection outside with a non-waterproof outlet that powers a camper and a refrigerator, and a door that opens directly onto the hotel parking lot.

Was looking for a cheaper option to spend a couple nights during my snowboarding trip. Was quite happy with my decision overall. The motel has a nice cozy atmosphere and it’s a smaller spot where you won’t have too many people around you. Obviously you’re not going to book here if you’re looking for the 5 star experience, but it’s a great stay with the essentials
