Location is fantastic. Walk a few minutes down the street and you're in Old Montréal! We loved staying here, especially since we were travelling with our dog. There are lovely green spaces just a few short blocks away, making walks easy and enjoyable. We've only stayed at Hotel Saint-Laurent once because we originally had a reservation at Hotel Faubourg. When we needed to change our dates, they were fully booked and kindly moved us to their sister property, Hotel Saint-Laurent. After staying at both, I can honestly say they offer exceptional value. The rooms are very clean, the breakfast spread is excellent, the front desk staff are friendly and helpful, and the parking is easy to navigate. Some of the criticisms in other reviews genuinely surprised me, particularly those describing the hotel as "dated" or criticizing the parking. These are older buildings, so yes, the décor isn't ultra-modern and the furnishings are fairly simple—but considering the price, the value is outstanding. As for the parking, it may feel a little tight if you're driving a large SUV, but we had no issues at all with our sedan. Our room overlooked the Ferris wheel, which was a lovely surprise, and having a spacious kitchen with full-sized appliances made our stay even more comfortable. I've also seen comments mentioning unpleasant odours. We certainly didn't experience that. My guess is that, with full kitchens in the suites, someone may occasionally be cooking something another guest isn't particularly fond of. We never found the hotel to be anything but clean. Finally, I'd like to recognize Jean-Jacques Seroux, the Reservation and Digital Marketing Manager. He's helped us on more than one occasion and has always been professional, accommodating, and genuinely helpful. He is a real asset to the hotel. Between the outstanding value, the convenient location, and the consistently excellent service—especially from Jean-Jacques—we've become loyal guests. We've found our Montréal hotel. We won't stay anywhere else.

The location is better impossible. On the side of extremely practical bus stops that lead to the main places of the city, as is 5m walk from the Champ-de-Mars metro station. It is also 5m walk from Chinatown and Desjardins Complex (which has market, McDonalds and a Winners - a very good discount store, with good and branded products). Very close to the Old Port too, a delight of walking around there. I loved having a bath, loved the kitchen (muuuuuito complete, even with dishwasher!). The bed was extremely comfortable as well (one of the best I have ever stayed, super soft). Maybe the room could be a little cleaner, especially in the corners near the window, but that's just a detail. The staff were super sought after, I sent a lot of orders and they delivered everything to me. I was also helped with tips, and general help. In particular the receptionists: Elizabeth (the sweetest!), Ketisha, Lina and Daniel.
