HOTEL HOWARD JOHNSON MONTREAL

We went for a family celebration, and stayed 2 nights...sat-mon The check in was ok, no one there but us, and the couple we went with. The guy was ok, but seemed overwhelmed, perhaps a very busy weekend. We asked for top floor, we got bottom. The room was ok, king bed, view of hwy, and weeds in front of large windows. Lol The room and bathroom very dated, so is the whole place. It did have a mini fridge, and coffee maker. The lighting in our room was horrible, only one, by toilet, so by sink/ mirror it was dark I asked for new light bulb, never got it. The bed was comfy, but pillows are like a large sponge, so if you like those your fine The restaurant is NOT open Mondays, even for coffee, so nothing available in lobby at all. We ate breakfast up the street both mornings. The soundproofing is much to be desired, this place needs a reno!!

Where does it indicate anywhere you will be required to leave a $200.00 deposit. this is not a hold on your card. They charge your card. When I asked for a receipt I was told to check my bank in 3 to 5 days for the refund.

Good value for money The bed is comfortable Everything is clean The only problem, it was very hot in the room. Thank you.
