Gouverneur Rimouski Hotel

Clean rooms but seriously decayed building. Helping staff but only minimal services available. The wi-fi is horrible, old SD TVs, in short, a small upgrade would be required.

Was so dissapointed by the lack of maintenance of the hotel, inside and outside. The carpets in the hallways are filty, needs to be refreshed everywhere. Rooms are in poor conditions. Would not recommend.

The exterior is in decay, the swimming pool is no longer functional and the space of a former restaurant area is condemned. Looks like a hotel that lives on borrowed time. Service at the Welcoming was good. The room seemed clean, though difficult to see with the old decor fading and dark carpets. The bed was relatively comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. No coffee in the rooms, no water machine at our disposal either. The Coffee Machine at the Welcoming is paying, it is disappointing! Too bad, the location is perfect (waterfront and close to the pedestrian area) but the hotel could use a big makeover. For the fare, there was better for $30 more, just a little further. In short, it’s average.
