Auberge Le Baluchon

Very nice hotel, beautiful, very spacious room. Outdoor and indoor pools, but a bit small, especially the indoor one. Nice concept with several inns. Very beautiful setting, river and waterfalls; we observed a white-tailed deer and a beaver on the wooden walkway to get to the dining area. Free activities like canoeing and paddleboarding. Possibility to access a spa area, but it costs 35 dollars for 3 hours; that is very unfortunate for this type of hotel. Excellent breakfast. Very isolated hotel that offers two restaurants: one very chic with high prices and only menus; it is really a shame. The other restaurant has reasonable prices but a very limited selection, so we drove several dozen km to go eat in Trois-Rivières.

Very pleasant room; the furniture is very pretty and the beds are comfortable; the place is absolutely magnificent with many possibilities for walks and sports activities. On the other hand, the outdoor pool water was green and did not make you want to swim in it; besides, no one was in the water..... Upon our arrival, the receptionist informed us that we had to book our time slot for breakfast and told us: if you book for 9:00 AM you will not be able to arrive before or after that time; being on vacation, we gave up on this constraint and went to have breakfast elsewhere; we did not find this welcome very warm. We remained a bit mixed but satisfied overall

Comfortable, well-run Quebec eco resort. Tasteful rooms, superb food, guests can borrow kayaks and bikes, there is archery, horse-riding and beautiful nature filled with birds. And beavers. Well maintained, nothing is overdone.
