Hilton Montreal Bonaventure

Very unique hotel with a great pool and mostly solid staff, but stay was marred by incompetent - or worse - bartenders who seemed to stick up their nose at Americans and skipped over a couple of us to serve French speakers - repeatedly. Won't be back.

A great stay from start to finish. Our firm family favourite of 4 hotels. We arrived early and to our pleasant surprise, our room was already ready for us to enjoy! Great vibe, character, style location, restaurant and service. Loved the outdoor pool, hot tub and sauna. And a heated duck pond in winter in downtown Montréal? The swing chairs in the lobby and free hot drinks just off reception were also a nice touch. Maintenance came out quickly to unblock the toilet. My only niggle was the security deposit taken at check-in which took weeks to come off my card which didn’t detract from our stay.

We stayed twice at the Bonaventure Montreal Hotel, on the way to and from our family road trip, and without hesitation, it is by far the best establishment of our entire stay. From the moment we arrived, we were won over by the quality of the welcome: an exceptional staff, both warm, available and always smiling. The service is impeccable, with real attention to customers, which makes all the difference. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean, offering perfect comfort after long days of discovery. Special mention for the heated outdoor pool, real favorite for the whole family, a real plus that makes the stay even more pleasant! We will return here without any hesitation during our next visit to Montreal, and we recommend this hotel around us without reservation. You can stay there with your eyes closed.
