Hyatt Regency Montreal

I have many reviews and no longer feel the need to go to great length and detail so I will say we came off cruise and are staying here for four nights and the overall feel of this Doubletree is dumpy and tired and way overpriced for what we paid having made reservations as Hilton Diamonds months ago. I am staying in a king corner executive room and it is past worn out. Old furniture and carpet. Cheap scratched furniture. One heavy legged chair for thin slab desk. NO sitting area except leftover corner piece from a split sectional.Lighting is old and cheap and does not work. The windows are small and very filthy and there are no robes , no sandals , no luggage stands and two towels, two hand cloths and two face towels. Refrigerator door opens wrong way against wall. No closet , just cheap open dorm organizer. Barn door to bathroom. Safe in drawer under cappuchina corner area right next to bed. Silly layout. Executive room ? Hardly. Just sad. Executive floor 20 but lounge is on floor six and little to offer . Arrive at odd entrance more like a service dock and check in on floor six , different elevators to get to room or out to street. Breakfast area is good and well run with full service and good staff. Shift manager called room and usual blah blah. I don't want anything from Hilton. Those days are over. I will not stay here again.

The hotel is a standard Doubletree by Hilton. It is large and quite busy. The staff in general is not warm or helpful. The room is high up and looks out to the performing theater area. It is easy to get to public transportation. The breakfast is generic and very busy. Overall this is a hotel more for business than leisure purposes.
