Hotel-Motel Coconut

I really loved this place. I was looking for an affordable place to stay while on a road trip. Because of the positive reviews, I decided to stay here. It’s designed to have a bit of a fun, tropical feel, which you could feel the moment you checked in. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was impeccably clean and newly renovated. It was a very hot night and the AC worked incredibly well! The property itself is in a bit of an awkward location, basically at the end of a residential neighbourhood… but it was so quiet because of that which turned out to be a huge plus. The shower amenities were a bit lacking and could be improved. There were multiple random soap bars, packets of shampoo / conditioner throughout the bathroom, none of them matching in brand or quality. Though it made no difference to me, I think it’s worth mentioning as a heads up.

This was a perfectly solid choice for the first night of our trip. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was clean and well appointed; the overall cleanliness was very good. There is an on-site restaurant done up as a tiki bar but we didn't take advantage of that. If that's your thing, I'm sure it is perfectly acceptable. The location is a little outside of the downtown area so you have to drive and park to other restaurants and bars, but it's not too bad. Check in is a 4 pm and they enforce that fully - we arrived early and we couldn't even pre-register, so we went downtown for dinner. Another strange thing: There was an ice bucket in our room but I couldn't find an ice machine anywhere. Perhaps it's in another part of the hotel I couldn't get to, but I walked up and down the hallway with no luck. Otherwise the Coconut provided a solid night's sleep in comfortable surroundings.

Super nice room quality price , coffee excellent fridge excellent , some small tapestries peeled off, but the rest very good quality the TV and air conditioning heating worked very well and in addition access to the coconut bar from the inside.
