Westmark Whitehorse

Horrible front desk service. The room was still dirty with finger nails on the floor, beds felt like sleeping on concrete. They put me in a room right beside an exit door that construction workers used to slam every 5 minutes coming in and out all day long. I would NEVER tell people to stay at this disgusting hotel.

The Sternwheeler Hotel is clean and comfortable, and its location is great - close to restaurants and shopping, and right across from the MacBride Museum. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful at checkin/checkout and when we needed to store our luggage and return our rental clothing. I would have given it a 5 but there was some noise in the hallway when Aurora viewers returned late at night, but we probably made the same noise so it was easily forgiven.

Enjoyed our stay, good central location close to downtown. Rooms are clean. although dated. Towels were thin and the mattress too firm so not very comfortable. Restaurant on site was good. Staff was very helpful
