AMS Apartments Huerfanos

I booked an apartment in July and it was terrible. I was assgned a room1412B. Dirty, no heating system, stained towels, equipment in the kitchen all dirty, stained, burned. No cleaning service provided. I complained about it and the manager just shrugged his shoulders and said: no can do. Very unkind, and not safe as anyone can go inside the building unnoticed. It is a shame because it is well -located. Wifi does not work.

The doors don't lock and staff can and will come in unannounced. The cleaning lady will come and even if you don't want she will enter to check if you have guests. If you have guests be prepared for the owner to come in unannounced and enter the apartment and refuse to leave until you paid extra. If you refuse to pay extra, the owner will grab your bags and just throw them out and if you don't want to leave just grab you and drag you out by force.

We stayed in two different apartments in this immense complex. The first one for one night which was meant for more than two people was o.k. But the second was so lovely and so well equipped and the staff that were responsible for this place so helpful and eager. It was well located and had a huge supermarket two steps away but the food in Santiago was well worth exploring and leaving the cooking to when you got home. Saw Peer Gynt while there - spectacular - visited a winery within city limits and definitely ate well especially at the city market - such a fun ambience. Such a relief to get to sAntiago where we were blessed with sunny warm weather after lots of rain and cold weather.
