This is an excellent affordable hotel! The room was very large with two double beds which were very comfortable and the room was very quiet from both street noise and in-house noise. The surrounding area is extremely safe and it’s a short walk to Bicentennial Park and the bus stop for the Hop on Hop off bus. The hotel also has an excellent very affordable restaurant. We will definitely stay here next time in Santiago.

I stayed at the hotel between December 31 and January 5. The positive aspects of the hotel are most of the staff and breakfast. During my third day of stay I noticed the absence of $150 placed in my inner pocket of the scrub, so also, someone had access to my passport and credit cards. I quickly alerted the staff and correlated it with a problem I had during the first two days, in both of them all the keys were demagnetized, which, according to them, is usual. The last night happened and we had to remagnetize them 4 times, as it did not work, opened the security with its master key and we could not leave the room as we had no way to re-enter without depending on the staff. Returning to the theft complaint, the manager only contacted us on the last day when we were rushing back to our country, which was awkward and irresponsible. He showed us the income to the room and of course, it was very difficult to see as we had 8 cards on our entire trip through the demagnetizations. There must be unfaithful staff who deal with this. In addition, the manager told us that this happened to them before and the passengers often later advise that they found the money. Very weird everything. Three negative aspects of the hotel besides what is mentioned is: the internet that has bad signal and disconnects frequently, the discharge pressure of the shower water and finally, the noises. (We stayed on the 4th floor and all over the 3rd floor they were refitting. After 11 AM there was a lot of noise in the room preventing the rest). In my previous 11 trips around Chile I never had a problem in hotels. Not recommended at all the Hotel "Director".

The location is strategic and safe. It is on an avenue with public transport to the main points of interest, which are reached quickly. Spacious and clean rooms. Clean bathroom. Room Service is very good. Breakfast is assorted and quality. A special mention deserves Braulio, Tamara, Victoria and Miguel from the reception, all very friendly and competent. Braulio is a teacher advising, all the information he provides, as well as his recommendations, are useful and accurate. The hotel is in a secure area, where you can move quietly day and night, two minutes from a gastronomic pole. Arauco Park is within walking distance of Cenco Costanera, Palacio de la Moneda, the main museums (Histórico Nacional and Bellas Artes), Cerros Santa Lucia and San Bernardo, with buses that take a few meters from the hotel, traveling on average from 10 to 20 minutes (the BIP card you buy on a machine at the airport). Unlike other parts of Santiago, the area where the hotel is located is very well maintained.
