Becasue of business need I visited Hefei in China in June. We chose Holiday Inn becasue of the brand effect. However the stay was not quite as expected. The big problem was the air-conditioning which even turning on for a long time and at the lowest termperature. It refused to do so. We are not concerned about the location because though far from downtown it was near to where we visited. The reception told us to be patient with the machine but still it did not responded to our patience.

For a first visit to Hefei, this hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. Yes it is not central, but the service was friendly and willing to help with a smile. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Breakfast was average, mainly Chinese noodles or styles of soups.

It's far away from everything and it could be difficult to get a cab. Cracking wall and not-so-clean carpet, other than that,the room is fairly clean. Bed is comfy and the shower is great(good water pressure and stable temperature ).Doubled window keeps the room quiet; there's no fitness center but there's a coin laundry room which was convenient. Free internet(not wifi) in room,but no fridge.Breakfast is not very good.
