New Century Hotel - Hefei

This was my first stay at this property - though I have stayed at various other hotels in Hefei. The building is new and rather opulent in style. The rooms are large and clean. Some people commented on the small size of the shower unit - well, I agree that it is not huge and large guests might find it a bit of a squeeze, but in general it was not a problem. There is a large (25*12m) swimming pool (heated) on site, gym, etc. but no massage here (which is rather unusual). Also no KTV, which is a blessing as it reduces noise levels a lot. Breakfast was OK, but no better. Clientele mostly local business people, but a few international guests as well. Smokers in the lifts unfortunately. Some staff speak basic English, but others don't. The hotel is about 15 mins from the airport, which is convenient. There is a Walmart just next door as well as various other shops.
