We arrived to the hotel with much trouble. It is located in a ghost town, and only speciel busses are accepted to go there. The hotel is nothing like in the pictures. It is a used, old, dirty Best Western. Because it is a ghost town there's no other food alternatives than the hotel restaurant. The food in the restaurant in under average chinese food and highly overprized.
It takes a fair bit of walking through the woods to get to the cabel car. The cabel car is expensive, and when finally arriving on the moutain, there's only narrow stairs a pathways.
Very dissapointing trip to Huangshan.
If you don't speak Chinese don't go there. If you do speak Chinese I suggest you go to Zhangjiajie instead.

We visited Huangshan Resort and Spa during a recent short trip to the Huangshan Mountains. This hotel features lovely mountain views, a great and helpful staff, and well equipped, clean rooms.
Location- entry point to the mountains, accessible by car. The resort is a great starting point into the heart of the mountains, and leads into several walking/hiking paths. It's also a great connection point for the buses that go midway into the mountains, leading into the cable cars. Within walking distance is the Hotsprings spa as well as a few cafes and eateries.
Service- we found staff to be friendly and helpful during out stay. They assisted in coordinating a tour, as well as checking schedules for shuttles and weather.
Rooms- rooms featured beautiful mountainside views and were both modern and clean. Well equipped with hairdryer, coffee maker, wifi, television, bathtub, rainfall showers and more.
Amenities- our room booking included a full breakfast which featured a small but decent selection of Western and Eastern food. We found it to be sufficient for breakfast. There is also two small gift shops where you can pick up raincoats, umbrellas, souvenirs, booties (for the rain), walking sticks and swimsuits (for the hotsprings).
This is a gorgeous hotel, ideal for those traveling on a higher budget level and who wish to have a nice access point to hiking in the mountains.

We booked a room on the last night after staying at Xihai hotel on the mountain. We booked a deluxe room at the new wing building on the hill - you need to book this to avoid old wing.. spa was included and we really enjoyed spa. Highly recommended. Room was nice and big.
