My family stayed here over the Tomb Sweeping Festival last week. We had two rooms facing the inner courtyard. Nice little teabush and bamboo mountain behind the hotel. I was really happy to be greeted by the owner of the hotel, who it turns out is an American Chinese lady from California. Make sure you ask for Ping. She gave us the lowdown on all the things to do in Huangshan and arranged basically a private car for us for the entire weekend to shoot us around. The rate was really reasonable, but it was much appreciated because we did some things sortof off the beaten track I guess. We went fishing at Ping's personal private lake 10 minutes from the hotel. Caught a couple of 5-7 kg catfish and spent half a day rowing around the lake with my boys. Then Ping arranged a private tour of a friend's tea farm, where we picked our own leaves, roasted them, and left with our own handmade huangshan green tea. We also later did Huangshan mountain, the Tunxi Old Street and the Jade Valley - which were all fantastic, but we really loved the stuff around the hotel actually. Ping showed up one night with a bottle of California cabernet from her personal cellar. How great is that!? The hotel itself is decent. Not like 5 star, but its very livable for a family looking to travel and not spend a fortune. Everything was clean. The beds were decent. And the breakfast was quite good. Literally for the ~219 a night we spent, I can't believe it was such a great experience. Highly recommended.

We had a room that was on the inside of the building so didn't have a window to outside which was actually pretty good for the noise. The room was small but fine for a couple of nights, shower was fine. About a 5-10 minute walk to the metro to get into town. It is a pretty good location just away from the centre. No one on reception that we saw spoke good english, wifi in the rooms.
