We stayed at this hotel on 23 Dec 2015. I lost my wallet at somewhere, either at Huangshan or Xi Di Town. During check-in, my husband checked with receptionist how to make police report there. All staff very helpful. There has 1 lady at front desk, I forgotten to take her name. She help to checked by phone to police station, even brought us by hotel´s vehicle to police station and accompany us. Sadly, I cannot make police report there since I not sure where I lost it. Very surprisingly, on 19 March 2016, I received a letter from our Ministry of Foreign Affairs about recovered of my personal belongings. The local police in Huangshan City, China, had sent my wallet to Singapore Consulate General at Shanghai. My wallet still in process returning to Singapore, I do not know about the contain, but from what I heard from our Ministry of Foreign Affairs staff, inside have some money as well. Another surprise I got it. Through this review, I want to thanks all staffs at Tangkou Yijing Junlai Hotel, especially a lady, whom accompany us went to Huangshan police station. Thank you very much for your sincere services. One day, We will go and stay at your hotel again. Last, Hangzhou is not only a nice place, but Hangzhou people also very honest. We went to Hangzhou on April 2014, my husband forgotten his backpack in the taxi. We did not know the taxi´s name and plat number. A half hour later, a taxi driver came to our hotel and return my husband backpack. He refused to accept token money, told us, Hangzhou´s people are honest. He was right, absolutely right, I lost my wallet in December last year in Hangzhou, again, I not dream will get back my lost wallet. But again, your honestly very amazing. Keep it up and thank you very much.

This is a hard hotel to review. I stayed here for an evening prior to ascending Huangshan, there was no heating in the room (Late December), the room and entire floor smelt of smoke, yet it was supposed to be a non smoking floor?!? At 7am our room door was opened by what i can only imagine was cleaners, as it was closed as soon as they realised someone was there. There was hot water in the evening, but no hot water in the morning. All of these things would usually make me warn people away from staying at this hotel, but taking into consideration where I was, what was available to me and how cheap the hotel was. I got what I paid for and it served its purpose. I would even consider staying here again. If you walk out of the hotel and turn left, follow the street down and around. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from, its a cute little town, and everyone is friendly and helpful. The bus station that takes you to Huangshan is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, the locals point you in the right direction.

Went there as a young Western couple the night before ascending Huang Shan. Overall, this is an OK hotel offering good value for its low price (300 RMB for a standard double, purchased on a Japanese travel website) Overall hotel appearance is unappealing (very dark, shabby outlook), but the room was OK, clean and with very large bed We met an extremely nice, English-speaking staff member who proved very helpful (booked a bus ticket to Huang Shan quite effectively, helped us locate the bus station). Location is not optimal : the city of Tangkou is a ordinary, small rural Chinese city ; there are plenty other hotels closer to the mountain (though probably more expensive).
