I booked a hotel Beijing Shindom Taoranting Branch from www.hotel.com and when I tried to checked in the hotel, they refused to give any room. Very poor service don't know whom to blame but I think its because of Hotel.com

Last 10 visits to Beijing, and I always end up here. No luxury, but great value for money, and on top of this a very calm nice small-town-alike area with many small shops and not so big houses. Very close to the Taoranting park, a nice place and Taoranting subway / Beijing Nan (South) station. Small railway ticket office without any queues one block away. And a very nice restaurant across the street. No English spoken, but friendly staff.

Very cheap budget hotel close to the Temple of Heaven. only 5 minutes walk to Subway Line 5 so easy to get around from. Rooms are clean and functional. Staff speak no english but will still go out of their way to try and help. Free internet in the rooms. I'd stay here again (actually this is the third time i've used this hotel)
