Beijing Zhengxie Hotel

I remember we book a business suite for a family of 4, one bedroom with a separate living room, very good amenities and clean, with on site restaurant (not thrilled with their Beijing duck but you can get other good dishes). Great location close to city center, but we had trouble to find taxi going into the center area probably due to such a short distance. Anyway anyone should be prepare for a lot of walking in the vicinity of the city. We loved this hotel and stayed twice, compared to what you pay in western metro cities such as NYC, the price is not bad at all, probably at the higher end for Beijing, we felt it’s a good choice overall, definitely recommend.

The hotel is clean but if you are a non smoker you feel it is a smoking hotel. The beds are hard. They do not speak English. The location is good, but hard to find the first time. 5-10 min walk to Dongdan subway. Only Wifi in the lobby. But free of charge. Good for short stays.

My Chinese business partner booked me into this hotel and I don't like it. First of all the bed is rock hard so I have to sleep on a layer of pillows. Plus the staff don't really speak English and all the rooms are smoking rooms. That aside, the location is central, the rooms appear to be quite clean and the staff are genuinely helpful.
