This place is really hard to find and I would not recommend staying here if you do not know how to get around in China or even Beijing. Nearest metro line to this place is about 5km Dawanglu (line 1).
My experience of booking this and staying here goes like this:
First of all, my original booking was cancelled by the company for no good reason, insisting i put up the money with a credit card. In other words changing the rules (I booked with eLong). Unwilling to do so, I searched for another place and found that a similar named company also has apartments in the same place with a similar office phone number and exactly the same photos but at different rates per night. I later found out that they are the same company:
Chinese Sunshine Serviced Apartments
Beijing Sunshince Serviced Apartments
So I chose the former similiar named company which was more expensive, but I wanted to stay here based on the value for money and the fact it is supposed to be a serviced apartment.
Except it isnt a serviced apartment!
It is an apartment, in a complex. That is it. The photos of the 'deluxe apartment' (60sq m) are not the same as the actual reality. They are lies, fake, not true. The apartment itself was spacious with a spare bedroom, but I was told that it would be cleaned ONCE only. Is that the definition of a serviced apartment? I do not think so.
The decor and furniture was ok however the DVD player did not work and the airconditioning was not good enough and the living room space got very warm at night time. To add to the absurdity - there is not a single place anywhere in the area that sells electric fans.
The two people I met who lease these properties are in my opinion unprofessional and rude. One guy seems to have a major problem with being friendly and his sidekick, who to his credit speaks english is comes across as cocky and unwilling to help with problems. Case point being there was renovation going on three floors below and when I asked if there was a different apartment available I was told there wasnt and if I do not like it I can check out. I then checked this story with a few booking sites and it showed there were availabilities.
Couple more things about this person - Mark is his name. Once I arrived, he tried to fob me off with a smaller apartment than the one I had booked. Once I showed him the elong booking, he took me to the rightful place. He then wanted me to sign a contract in the apartment and not his office, he then gave me a document that was completely in Chinese. To be honest it really looked and felt like a scam.
So my sumarry of this place is as follows:
tedious location
photos do not represent the actual apartment
unprofessional leasing agents
NOT serviced apartments - just a collection of apartments in a complex
