+ Pleasant apartment in a quiet neighbourhood. Location is easy to reach with bus 31 and 138 from Dawanglu Subway station. The owner speaks a bit of English, which is always a nice surprise in China - We knew the kitchen was not functional when we booked our stay (no need to copy/paste again the same answer) but we still can't help thinking that a couple of bowls/plates, a set of chopsticks, a sponge and a broom wouldn't hurt... It is not pleasant to miss basic cleaning tools when you spend several days in an apartment, and while we are ok buying some single-use cutlery, we don't intend to purchase the whole cleaning set... The cigarette smell when we entered the apartment and that remained for a couple of days (window was left open during the day).

Definately worth the money. A little way from the city, but plenty nearby. Be careful to check the location *before* you travel, you will struggle to find it. Entrance is through the security hut next to the soup/coffee shop facing the Beijing Supermarket. all the owner if you are stuck.
