Fuyong Yulong Hotel

Transit hotel provided by Air China. Picked up from the airport after a 30 minute wait and driven to the hotel which was about 20 minutes away. Had a large room on the 10th floor. After a long haul flight all you want is a shower and a sleep. This room had a very comfortable bed with high quality new bed linen. The shower was good with a range of products a transit passenger might need and new soft towels. Breakfast was included and was buffet style with limited western options. We took a walk and found a Pizza Hut and KFC nearby for a late lunch. Transfers back to the airport were also included.

Hainan Airlines provided this room for me when I had an overnight layover in Beijing. They suggested I take a taxi rather than wait for the shuttle which I did. The lobby of the hotel looked promising. But the room was the dirtiest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The carpet looked like it had never been shampooed. And I don't think it had been vacuumed for weeks. There was long hair in the shower. I would not let my feet touch any part of the floor. The bed was very comfortable and I had no trouble with the wi-fi though some other guests did have. The lack of cleanliness caused me to keep an eye out for bugs which fortunately I did not see. I think the hotel needs someone to help them understand internationals standards. Some guests from London, who were checking out four days early because of lack of cleanliness, took quite a bit of time with the manager to kindly explain that in order to call themselves an international hotel, they need to adhere to international standards of cleanliness. This hotel has potential with a good cleaning.

Free hotel room provided by Hainan airlines. Waited about two hours for the shuttle bus at midnight at the airport, not sure it was Hainan airlines' problem or the hotels problem. The room is acceptable. There is no free breakfast for transit stay, and it is not easy to find store nearby. Hourly transport to airport during the day time.
