Jiang Tai Art Hotel Beijing

We stayed at this hotel for one night layover in Beijing. It is not too far from the airport. Room is comfortable enough for one night stay. Loving the design of rooms as each room has their unique design. We stayed in the room without windows, which does not bother us as we were only there for one night. Reception is friendly.

Reviewing the Beijing hotel at Jiang tai road. First of all, you need to understand this is a hotel catered 99% to local Chinese customers. So you need to manage your expectations - this is a 2 star hotel and everyone smokes in the hotel. No one enforces the non smoking rule. You can smoke anywhere and everywhere. The receptionist at the hotel counter cant speak any English - so again, you need to manage your expectations. If you can speak some basic Chinese then you should be ok. If you can accept this, then its really quite a decent hotel and very fairly priced. It’s right opp a huge shopping mall and the subway. So its really convenient if you need to travel to many places. Behind the hotel is a stretch of Chinese restaurants - selling steamboat, BBQ and other Chinese cuisines. Worth a try. About the room - its very basic but well kept. Toothbrush kit and other amenities are provided and there is a kettle in the room. There are different themes in each of the room - love, wizard of the oz and a lot more... i stayed in the comedy room - which essentially is just a giant Charlie Chaplin poster... not a good idea to wake up and have that sinister looking Charlie staring at you. Paid about 580 SGD for 7 nights with the discount coupon. Overall, not a bad deal.

Room was great, moderately clean. Hotel staff was very helpful. There was some confusion at first because they could not find my name. Luckily we had my name printed on the printed reservation confirmation. They helped us call taxis to the airport and attractions
