Comfort Inn and Suites Beijing

if this is your first trip to Beijing, all you want to see is the Palace Museum, Temple of Heaven, and all the historical sightseeing places, then this hotel is not your best choice. But if you are a young traveler, wanted to spend time checking out the place local young people hang out, want to try local food, want to experience nice Spa services, then you would love this hotel. It is located next to the famous Sanlitun Soho commercial area, has tons of restaurants to provide all kinds of food: Chinese, American, Japanese, Korean you name it. Top brand fashion shops, popular night clubs, 5 minutes walking distance to a subway station which can take you many places, bank next door, several supermarkets in walking distance, bars, coffee shops, bakery all nearby. The hotel lobby is really small, nothing fancy, the room is spacious(which is my favorite part) bed is comfortable. The bathroom is a little outdated, but nothing too bad in my standard. The breakfast hotel provided is really not so good, but you can find many wonderful breakfast options within 2 minutes walk at a very reasonable price ( for Chinese local fresh-made breakfast cost about $2-$3 or fresh baked Croissant for about $3)

the location of this hotel for bussines is good, not that far , simply you can take a taxi with avery cheap price , as it is close for the olympic square and eibition area , but the rooms is very old , pricy for a room like this, staff are good , and very difficult to do money exchange, u can do 100 usd daily , if you want more you have to go to bank , some times they refuse to do money exchange because they did not recieve the ration from central bank , next time prefer to tale a hotel in sanlitu area as you can find life there.

Besides the great location this hotel has nothing much else to be found appealing. It is rundown and it seems floors are being sold off for businesses. The toilet needed fixing three times in a10 day stay and the shower in the bath had a terrible green plastic mat to stand on for showering with a broken shower head.Bedding was at least clean but furnishings were torn or broken. Extremely disappointing.
