Dongjiaominxiang Hotel Beijing

I stayed here for just one night - The room size was ok, the toiletries were also fine. They had put a price tag on some of the basic toiletries that we were not aware of. The price tag was inside the room in some corner and I did not expect to get charged for a shaving kit. They should put the price tag the place where the items are placed. Fortunately the room did not had any smoke smells in that way I was bit relaxed. The restaurant food is also not so great. For vegetarians, the options are very limited. None of the staffs speak English well so at times it gets difficult to communicate for any basic needs. May be ok for just a night or two.

I arrived to reception not having my booking. They offered me a better room at the same price. All this was transacted through a translation app as they don't speak English and I don't speak Mandarin. Excellent location, the rooms are nice and very clean for a Chinese hotel. It is a smoke free hotel but nobody pays any attention to that and the room and hallways stink of cigarette smoke. If you are prepared to put up with all this then stay here as the rate is very good.

My friends and I were booked to stay a night here and when we arrived they had no records of our booking even though we had the.booking confirmation and had already pre-paid for it months beforehand. Instead of investigating it they left us sitting in their lobby stranded, and offered us no help at all. They didn't even give us an option of re booking a room with them, we had to source other accomodation and spend money on a night in a hotel which was already spend and booked months ago. Not impressed with the staff at all,it was also very hard to find.
