Radisson SAS Hotel Beijing

Nice hotel but does need a lttle TLC. Lovely welcome in a nicely decorated foyer. Even has its own robot in the foyer to help with any questions!! Had booked a twin room as travelling with female friend. The twin beds were touching each other so not the best. room was too warm and was unable to turn down the air con but there is a window to help. The shower was powerful but had to keep turning it down as water leaked out onto bathroom floor. The breakfast was excellent with so much choice.

This hotel is dirty, dated and dreadful. Location is the only good thing, supermarket around the corner, starbucks in the opposite shopping mall and a few f&b outlets close by. However, it's not close to most tourist attractions and metro station is about 15 minutes away. The hotel used to be part of the Radisson Blu chain, it requires a huge renovation. My bedding was dirty and stained, there were many questionable marks on the green & red dotted carpet. The bed is at a corner with mirrors behind, which makes you feel like you're staying at a love hotel. The bath tub is mouldy as well as the shower head. The smell of the bathroom reeks of sewage. I did not choose to stay here, my company did, as for the distance to airport and I stay here almost once every month. Therefore, I dread of everytime I have to come to Beijing. Beijing is a lovely city but this hotel does not give you a welcome feeling.

Had the WORST experience ever as I got food poisoned with room service food. After falling sick had to visit a hospital and doctors confirmed it was food poisoning and mandatory rest was needed before flying back home. I had to stay another day in such horrible hotel. Cherry on top the cake? While checking out, I was charged for a Coca Cola! Unreal I would say. Never never stay here and be aware of poor hygiene standards in this property.
