Times Holiday Beijing

We are a family of five who picked this hotel based on the photo of the pool. There is NO pool. The management staff was very unfriendly, and not one person spoke English. We had two rooms and they were spacious enough for us, but the beds were only bed springs, no mattresses, no kidding. They made us give them a 400 yuan as deposit for the mini bar, but there was none (we thankfully had an interpreter with us who helped us). The bathrooms floors were continually wet with a permanent "Caution Wet" sign. We did not have a problem with the cleaning staff, but after three nights sleeping on bed springs, we were very sore. The location is far from any of the typical tourists sites, and the food around the hotel was not good or inexpensive. Never stay here! False advertising for a swimming pool should make Expedia take this hotel off their site.

We stayed here 7 Nights- Never again. Limited English understood and staff showed no interest in helping. Air con was cool for 2 nights and seemed to be on heating for rest of the time- their solution, they gave us a fan for the last 2 nights. Room only cleaned twice (and that was only to empty bins). Bathroom never cleaned- smelled, despite leaving exhaust fan on all the time. Have stayed in better BackPackers.

We took 3 rooms at this hotel with my friends, which is found easily by the taxi (or 7 mins from the nearest metro station). Rooms are ok and quite clean, not very big but can easily accomodate 2 people. The bathroom is clean, however the shower is not separed which means water can slash on the floor of the whole bathroom is you do not take care ! Also, some rooms are on the street side, and you have to know that public work is allowed in the evening, I had to bear the jackhammer until 2-3am !! Overall the hotel is worth its price, but I think you could find something slightly better.
