Geosciences International Conference Centre

I just returned this week from a two week visit to see my son who attends Beijing Language and Culture University across the street from this university. It was my fourth trip to visit him but first time at this hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised. This hotel is beautiful, clean, modern, and quiet (and it smells really good.) The front desk staff is very polite. I’m not sure how many speak English because my son is fluent but Mr. Zhang, a very pleasant and kind young man, speaks English very well. This is in the university district of Beijing (Haidian/Wudaokou) so lots of culture, plenty of restaurants and grocery stores, and close to the subway station and a nice mall. Very safe to get out and explore the area. I love this hotel and will be returning!

Having experienced several options on University campuses, I wasn't expecting much, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised: this hotel is clean, modern, the cleaning staff is smilling and doing a good job. Breakfast is decent (with coffee and bread, much appreciated when you're European and don't care much for fried noodle at 7 AM). The only thing that was weird is that the - decent - fitness room only opens at 10 AM which made it impossible for me to get necessary exercise at the best hour of the day: before breakfast.

Quality rooms (select a business type one), wide choice of food at the buffet breakfast, chinese and western meals at the restaurant for lunch and dinner. It is close to a shopping mall where you shall find various restaurants and a huge supermarket (BHG). It is relatively close (by car) to the Olympic park and the Bird's Nest. There is also a subway station not far from the property.
