Michael's House Beijing

I just realized that the last review of this place was in 2020! Well, it's a quaint place. More like a small courtyard with rooms around it. Like someone opened up their home to you. The rooms are okay. Like a decent dorm. The bathrooms are nice. The staff (a family, probably) are wonderful though they don't really speak English. They were thoughtful in lending us umbrellas. We got by with sign language and Google Translate. The staff were a highlight of this trip It's on a small street. Fits 1.5 cars width wise. Quite a walk from the subway. There are restaurants ater a 10-15 minute walk. Have Google Photo ready because very few people speak English. We ended up here because it's top rated and near Beijing Normal University.

Chinese style hotel. Very welcoming, familiar, friendly. Excellent common space. Clean. Close enough to the subway, considering the distances to Beijing. To repeat and to recommend. The stay was one month.

WOW! My husband and I stayed at Michael's house/Floral Hotel in November 2019. Before arriving in Beijing, I emailed them for a special request and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND! My request was to ask their help with hosting a small wedding ceremony for me and my husband. They responded right away and were so happy to help. When we arrived to the hotel, I felt like I was arriving at a family members house. Throughout our stay, we had many questions regarding places to eat, shop, and transportation for getting there. They instantly helped with directions and taxis, and even helped us arrange taxi's to get home later in some evenings. Also, our bed was always made and there was always fresh bottled water waiting for us. The lobby is so beautiful, one night my husband and I stayed in with a bottle of wine to enjoy the traditional courtyard. For our wedding ceremony, they involved a company who helped with all of the details. We woke up the day of our ceremony to a few camera-men, decorations being put up in the lobby, and a few other people who were coordinating logistics. My husband and I were in awe of the special detail and hard work that everyone was putting into our special day! It was crazy to think that all of this came from just a simple email to their hotel. My point is, the staff members really treat you like a family guest in their home. If you have any special requests, do not hesitate to ask them for help. They truly care about their guests and made our Beijing experience absolutely spectacular. We left with tears in our eyes as we said goodbye. THANK you Michael's House staff for an unforgettable experience. We hope to visit again soon. In the meantime, keep welcoming new guests and making their experiences as incredible as ours.
